Over the past fifteen years, Antioch Raleigh has been a nomadic people committed to and learning how to love God, love others and make disciples through many seasons and Sunday morning settings. Now, we sense God inviting us into a new season of rootedness in Raleigh.
Rooted in Raleigh is our church-wide giving campaign to establish a permanent home for Antioch Raleigh: a place to gather, grow, equip, and send people into the purposes of God for generations to come.
We believe a permanent home will be more than a building. It will be a place that serves the mission God has given us in Raleigh and beyond.
Why Rooted in Raleigh?
We love this city, and we believe God has more for Antioch Raleigh here. As we look toward the future, we're believing for a permanent home that will allow us to establish a stronger presence in Raleigh, invest deeply in our community, and create space for the work God is doing among us.
Our vision is not simply to find a place where we can gather on Sundays. We believe God is calling us to be an equipping and sending center: a home base for the life, ministry, and mission of our church.
A permanent home is not the end goal. The mission is.
What We're Believing For
We envision a permanent home that will serve our church family and our city throughout the week. A place where we can:
- Gather and worshipas a church family, celebrating what God is doing across generations.
- Disciple and equippeople to follow Jesus and live out their God-given callings.
- Invest in the next generationcreating space to serve and develop children, youth, college students, young adults, and families.
- Cultivate prayer and ministrymaking room for encounters with God, spiritual formation, and community.
- Serve our citybuilding deeper relationships and becoming an even greater blessing to Raleigh.
- Equip and sendraising up disciples, leaders, and churches to carry the gospel throughout our region and beyond.
We believe that as we put down roots, God will continue to grow fruit that extends far beyond our walls.
How We're Giving
We're believing God for $1.5 million in new giving over three nine-month phases to help establish a permanent home for Antioch Raleigh. Our first phase runs from October 2026 through May 31, 2027, with a goal of $750,000.
This is an invitation for every person and household in our church to prayerfully consider how God is inviting them to participate. We believe this is something we get to build together, not out of obligation, but out of faith, generosity, and a shared vision for what God wants to do in Raleigh.
Wholehearted Sunday, October 25, marked the beginning of this shared commitment. We are now moving forward together, trusting God to provide as we each respond to what He places on our hearts. There is room for everyone to participate, and every act of generosity matters.
How to Pray
Though our initial discernment season has ended, prayer is still central to the Rooted in Raleigh campaign. We are a people fully dependent on the Lord, so we invite you to continue interceding for Rooted in Raleigh and the future God has for Antioch Raleigh.

What is Rooted in Raleigh?
Rooted in Raleigh is a church-wide giving campaign to raise $1.5 million in new giving over three nine-month phases toward establishing a permanent home for Antioch Raleigh. Our first phase runs October 2026 through May 31, 2027, with a goal of $750,000.
Why are we raising funds before we have a property?
Our goal is to be ready when God opens the right door.
We believe God is calling Antioch Raleigh to put down deeper roots in this city and prepare for a permanent home. Raising funds now allows us to prepare financially before the right opportunity presents itself.
What will the money be used for?
The goal of the campaign is to build capital toward Antioch Raleigh's future permanent home.
We are raising $1.5 million in new giving toward the acquisition of a future property. We anticipate raised funds to contribute directly towards the purchase as equity. Funds that Antioch has already set aside for facilities will remain available for the additional costs that come with establishing a permanent home, including potential renovations, improvements, furnishings, equipment, and other facility needs.
How is this different from regular giving; what does the Bible say about it?
Regular giving supports the ongoing ministry and mission of Antioch Raleigh: our staff, ministries, missions, operations, and the everyday work God has entrusted to us.
Rooted in Raleigh is giving above and beyond our regular generosity toward a specific future assignment: preparing for a permanent home.
Throughout Scripture, God's people responded to specific moments of vision and building through willing, sacrificial generosity. When the tabernacle was being built, Moses invited those whose hearts were willing to bring an offering. In 1 Chronicles 29, David and the leaders gave first toward the temple, and the people responded willingly and wholeheartedly.
The principle for us is the same: this is not about pressure or obligation. We are asking each person and family to seek God and respond willingly to what He asks of them.
What does a permanent home enable us to do that we are currently not able to do?
We believe a permanent home can become an equipping and sending center that serves the mission God has given Antioch for generations to come. A permanent home is not the end goal, the mission is.
A permanent space would give Antioch a stable base from which we can more effectively:
- Gather and worship as a church family
- Disciple and train people throughout the week
- Invest more deeply in kids, students, families, and leaders
- Create space for prayer, ministry, equipping, and community
- Serve Raleigh and build deeper roots in the city
- Train and send disciples, leaders, and churches into the region and beyond
Our future home will serve the mission rather than become the mission.
How can I participate?
We invite every person and household to pray and ask God how He is inviting them to participate. You can make a one-time gift, establish recurring giving, or give through a combination of both.
If you've already made a commitment, we encourage you to submit or update your pledge so we can better understand what God is providing through our church family. You can give directly through our giving platform by selecting Rooted in Raleigh as your designated fund.
Can I participate if I wasn't at Wholehearted Sunday?
Absolutely! Wholehearted Sunday was the beginning of our collective response, but the invitation to participate remains open. Whether you've been part of Antioch for fifteen years or just recently discovered our church, we'd love for you to join us in praying and participating in what God is building.
What happens next?
We will continue raising funds throughout our first phase, while prayerfully pursuing opportunities for a permanent home. As the campaign progresses, we'll share updates with our church family about funding, potential properties, and the next steps in this journey.
We believe God is building something that extends far beyond a building, and we're excited to see what He has ahead.
