Why Are We Moving?

Over the past season, God has been faithful to Antioch Raleigh. We've seen new families join our community, students discipled, friendships formed, and lives transformed.

As we've prayed about the future, we've sensed God inviting us into a season of greater stewardship—not only of our own lives, but of the people and city He has entrusted to us.

Moving to Martin Middle School allows us to:
• Remain rooted in the heart of Raleigh
• Stay connected to NC State University and our ongoing investment in college students
• Create room for future growth
• Deepen our presence among surrounding neighborhoods and schools
• Expand opportunities for discipleship, outreach, and service

We don't see this move as leaving somewhere behind.
We see it as planting ourselves more deeply in the place God has called us.

We Want To Be A People Of Raleigh

We believe church is more than a Sunday gathering.

God has called us to love Raleigh, serve Raleigh, pray for Raleigh, and seek its flourishing.

For years, that has included investing in students at NC State University, serving local schools, building relationships with neighbors, and creating spaces where people can encounter Jesus and experience authentic community.

Our move to Martin Middle School is another step in that commitment.

We are not moving away from our mission.
We are moving deeper into it.

Why Martin Middle School?
After considering a variety of options, Martin Middle School stood out as a natural fit for both our current season and our long-term vision.

First, it allows us to remain in the heart of Raleigh and stay in close proximity to our current gathering location, helping us maintain the relationships and ministry connections we've built over the years.

It is also less than ten minutes from NC State University, which has long been a significant hub for discipleship, leadership development, and investment in young adults within our church family.

Martin's location is centrally accessible for many of our members who live throughout Raleigh and the surrounding areas, making it a practical gathering place for our growing church community.

Additionally, the facility provides more space while remaining an affordable option. This allows us to be good stewards of our financial resources and maintain flexibility as we continue investing in ministry, discipleship, outreach, and our long-term vision for a permanent home.

Most importantly, Martin Middle School helps us continue pursuing our mission of being a people of presence and blessing in Raleigh while creating room for future growth.
Will service times change?
Nope.
Coffee and fellowship start at 10 am.
What about kids ministry?
Our Kids Ministry will remain largely the same as it is today, with children grouped according to age and developmental stage to ensure an engaging and age-appropriate environment.

The biggest change will be for our elementary-aged children. At Martin Middle School, all elementary classes will meet within the cafeteria space, while still remaining organized into separate class groups by age and grade level.

We're excited about the opportunities this new space provides and remain committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and discipleship-focused environment for every child each Sunday. Parents can expect the same check-in process, caring volunteers, and commitment to helping children encounter Jesus and grow in their faith.
Are we still pursuing a permanent building?
Yes.
How can I help?
There will be plenty of opportunities—both new and existing—to help as we prepare for and transition into our new home at Martin Middle School.

One of the best ways to get involved is by joining a Pillar Team. Our Pillar Teams help make ministry happen each week by creating welcoming environments, serving families, supporting worship gatherings, and caring for our church community.

As we move into this next season, we'd love for every person who calls Antioch Raleigh home to find a place to contribute their gifts and serve alongside others.

Whether you've been serving for years or are looking for a place to jump in for the first time, this is a great opportunity to get involved. Sign up for a Pillar Team today and help us build what God is doing in this next chapter.
Where should I park?
We'll share detailed parking information, including a parking map and designated parking areas, before our move to Martin Middle School. To make sure you receive all the latest updates, be sure to sign up for our newsletter if you haven't already.

On Sunday mornings, we'll also have a dedicated parking team on-site to help direct traffic, answer questions, and guide everyone to the appropriate parking areas.

Our goal is to make the transition as smooth and welcoming as possible, so whether it's your first Sunday or your hundredth, we'll help you find your way.
